Comments:
The memorial has deteriorated severely over the past two years and a number of names are no longer legible. Sheering parish council has requested quotes from recommended stone masons and memorial restoration specialists to have the memorial renovated and cleaned so it may once again be a suitable and fitting memorial to those men of the parish of Sheering who gave their lives in two world wars. In its current state of disrepair it neither of the above and our hope is a grant may be made available to parish council so the works so desperately needed can be undertaken without undue delay. Two quotes for the repair to this memorial have been received and can be made available to the relevant officers of the trust upon request.
