I am being quite pernickety in rating the condition as fair. It is structurally in excellent condition and entirely legible. However it could benefit from a good cleaning and there are some examples of joints which could ideally do with pointing. Having said that there is no evidence of a loss of pointing since the last restoration. This may or may not have been intentional given how harsh the winter weather is here, which can still result in the isolation of the town for days, even with the so called "all weather road" to Haltwhistle. I have no concerns about the memorial.
