Comments:
War Memorials Trust is aware of the Poor condition of this war memorial. The charity has provided advice to several individuals and organisations looking to undertake repair and conservation works but at present no action has been taken. For war memorials where the owner/custodian is unknown it can be more difficult for repair and conservation projects to take place not least because there is no endowment or repair money available. In this case it is proving difficult to confirm the owner/custodian. Works can still take place but will need all relevant parties to agree and someone to lead a project. WMT can support them but it cannot do the works itself as that is outside its charitable remit. If new information emerges, or an organisation or individual is willing to take on responsibility for this project then War Memorials Trust is happy to offer support.
