Comments:
7 December 2020- routine check visit. Condition stable since the 2018 visit. It is doubtful how much more improvement to the lettering, which is legible, could be made given the nature of this local red sandstone. The existing material is unlikely to respond well to any further deepening of the cutting. It's location makes it prone to Irish sea storms. Sometimes in conservation it is knowing when to leave alone. In the medium to long term the solution may be to overlay with a metal plaque.
