Comments:
The contrast between the photograph of the repaired memorial in 2015 and the condition today is significant. The stone has darkened and become infested with lichen to the extent that it is no longer easy to read. In addition the darkening has caused the repaired breakage to stand out very clearly especially the missing chips to the left. It is possible that a viewing of these photographs by a WMT expert will upgrade this to Fair, (it is certainly not Good), but my decision to call it Poor is motivated by the contrast with the 2015 photo. The proximity of the memorial to the entrance onto Salisbury Road is what makes it vulnerable to vandalism.
