Comments:
Based on the September images, WMT has assessed the condition as fair and monitoring is recommended. The memorial has an attractive patina. There is some minor algae growth on the timber and lichens obscuring the inscriptions. Given the memorials location, these symptoms would reoccur shortly after any cleaning so any cleaning needs to be carefully timed so as not to cause damage and erosion. It appears to be structurally sound with pointing intact and therefore monitoring is suggested. Hand cleaning the panels may be an appropriate intervention to help read the names.
