Arising from the last report I can now state that there is no grafiti on the plaque and the lettering appears to have been  recently repainted. The sundial has not been replaced and the existing base remains now covered with a layer of fresh concrete which makes it look tidy. The garden as a whole is in reasonable condition with no rubbish, and few weeds though some  of the trees and bushes are becoming overgrown. A recent planning application  (0121/21) to the London Borough of Redbridge made by an individual stated her ownership of the garden, and who lives in an area behind the garden, sought  permission to reinstate the frontage border and shrubs area by removing self sown sycamore saplings and generally tidy it all up. The garden is in a conservation area and the application has been granted. The front railings surmounted by gold coloured spikes are in good order.. The latch to the entrance gate is broken and there is no restriction on access.  The other plaque stating details of the opening of the garden in 1997 is largely hidden by foliage. Photographs are being sent to War Memorials Trust.
