As a Trustee of the Sandon Memorial , a grant application was forwarded to the War Memorial Trust earlier in the year as the memorial needed cleaning & the bronze was in a poor colour as never been waxed since erected in 1922. Following three quotations for cleaning & a unsuccessful application to the War Memorial Trust I decided to research in renovating the memorial myself. Work is currently underway.
