Comments:
The memorial as a whole is in tolerable condition and appears structurally sound. However the names of the World War II dead do need recutting and cannot now be fully read. The names are BARKER, Cecil, CAMPS, Hubert John, CULPIN, Henry Richard, EAST, Leonard, KING, Stanley Alfred, and OSBORN, Harold Charles. This information comes from the Cambridge Roll of Honour submitted by WMT in 2018. It is because of those names that I have marked the condition of the memorial as 'poor'. The inscriptions on front and back are readable but not perfect. Photos are being sent to WMT I have amended the address to public open space between 251-261 Newmarket Road which makes the memorial easier to find.
