Comments:
We have concluded that the memorial is in fair condition. Much of the memorial is in good condition. However, some details are a cause for concern. Some sections of inscriptions are becoming illegible (in lead and original stone). There are some cracks in the plinth base, between stones and at the back of the memorial. There is some lichen growth and one dip in the stone base is large enough for a plant to have grown out of it. The surrounding landscape is well-maintained and in a very good condition. Survey completed by Yr 8 Pupils at Swanshurst School.
