From photographs taken in November 2023, the memorial on the whole appears in Good condition, although there is evidence of possible damage to the base as a result of inappropriate cleaning; scratch marks are visible on the stonework. Lettering on the whole is well defined, though some areas of infilled paintwork are missing and could be retouched to enhance legibility. Minor areas of mortar are missing from joints. The surrounding area is clear of litter, tidy and well maintained.
