Comments:
The area around the memorial is a well used, historical common and park. The monument is set on a bluff above the town and is enclosed by locked railings. There were information boards about the whole area, including the memorial , reproduced in the photos. The main monument is mainly for WW1 with a plaque for WW2. The smaller monument adjacent recalled members of the 5th Btln in Holland in WW2. In general the whole area looked to be well maintained.
