Comments:
During the early summer of 2019 The Monument was careful cleaned using the DOFF system. Flagstones at the base of the Memorial were sunken and directing rainwater in to the centre and base of the structure. All of the flagstones were carefully lifted and reset to shed water away from the centre of the structure. Two painted inscriptions in the masonry, added after the bronze plaques were faded and difficult to read. These were carefully repaintted. The bronze plaques were carefully treated with Smartwater. The work was undertaken by Conservation building Services ltd, commissioned by Weston Rhyn Parish Council and grant funded by the War Memorial Trust.
