War memorial damaged in Feb 1985 and again in Aug 1989. Unsure whether the Church or local authority is responsible for the memorial. In newspaper articles linked to the vandalism, Church said though the memorial is at the corner of the church, it is not the responsibility of the church . The local authority refused to cover the cost of repair to the memorial.
