Comments:
St James' Church was made redundant in November 1976, and was destroyed by fire on 20th April 1980. The Hall was sold in the late 1970s, and subsequently converted to offices. It is currently the home of Chelsea Financial Services PLC. There is a modern plaque outside which says 'St James Hall'. It is not known if the original oak tablet is still inside. The Book of Remembrance is WMO/295539.
