11 August 2017: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair overall condition: the components were intact and sound but the inscription was barely legible- [The speckled grey granite stones bear clearly cut inscriptions which are in good condition but which are extremely difficult to read due to the lack of contrast with the background.]
