Comments:
Westminster & Pimlico News, 1st April 1983: "A Chelsea war memorial, now damaged beyond repair, which once commemorated Chelsea Council employees killed during the two World Wars is to be replaced out of the "Brighten-up-the-Borough" funds. The original marble plaque was once sited at the old Durham Wharf which is now part of the new Cremorne Gardens on Chelsea embankment."
