WMT has reviewed the photographs submitted in February 2022 and agrees with the Fair assessment as there is lichen growth on the memorial which is to be expected given its location. The lettering is painted black to aid legibility and WMT suggest monitoring as overcleaning can reduce the lifespan of the memorial.
