The entrance to the cemetery and chapel is through a wooden A frame Lych Gate structure (Fig.6a). It is topped by a slate roof and supported by natural stone walling each side. The supporting walls are connected to the boundary natural stone walling on both sides.  
 
The slate roof is in good condition and has had some recent cement mortar repairs done. The wooden rafters, (Fig.6d) eaves and soffit boards are all seem to be in good repair (Fig.6c) as is the natural stone supporting walls on each side of gate (Fig.6). The wooden hinged gate is also in relatively good condition but has some beginnings of rot on the lower slats at base (Fig.6e).

The small internal fence shows signs of rot at base and should be treated or replaced (Fig.6f).
The wooden support beams are in poor condition on both sides of the entrance. There is significant decay at the ends at the connection between horizontal tie beam which is laid on a stone base plinth. Since these structural support beams are integral to the stability of the roof as they connect to the mid rafter it is recommended they be repaired or replaced
