WMT requests that recent photographs are submitted so that the condition can be assessed. Sand-blasting and jet washing are not appropriate methods for cleaning historic memorials as they are too damaging. Please see Section 12 of Historic England's guidance for cleaning memorials. It is understood that the council are currently planning a project for the memorial.
