Comments:
This unusual memorial commemorates the Crimean War and the Chinese Opium Wars in the 19th Century. There is a replica bell looted from a Chinese temple- the original is in the Regimental Museum in Preston. The condition of the monument is good- it has been well maintained and is stable and secure. There is some weathering as would be expected. The memorial is a listed monument and is located in a Conservation area.
