After a site visit I confirm that the memorial is sound except for weathered lettering and damage to paving especially concrete slabs. The concrete slabs are in Poor condition and need repair but this is not enough to downgrade the memorial overall

Maintenance Plan Details
Not a planning application but an active Lottery application for the refurbishment of the whole of Poole Park with a particular plan for the war memorial area including an application to WMT for a grant on the main civic memorial. The council is more concerned by the cracked paving than the weathered lettering. I have a meeting with a council officer soon and will push for both to be included.
